Happy New year everyone.

My new years was ok, but also stressful. I found a kitten a week before new years, he was 6 weeks old and had an eye infection and needed to have his eye removed. We affectionately called him "Pirate". But unfortunately the infection continued after the operation and inspite of the antibiotics he was on. And we suspect he also had "cat flu" on top of things to add to his stress. Pirate died on Friday the 2nd of January. He was too weak from the fever to hold himself up or to lift his head, even though we had been feeding him on a liquid diet to keep him hydrated and give him energy. We buried him in the back yard. I feel very sorry that I couldn't do any more to help him. But life is hard sometimes, and also life is for the living. I love animals, and hope that in future, when Haden and I can move into a flat where we are allowed to have pets, we'll be able to care for some other creatures and help them have happy lives, even though we couldn't give that to Pirate.

I'm unwell, I've been unwell since Tuesday last week. I've had enough of it.

Wellington was really great fun!

I have an assignment due on Monday which I am depressed and worried about, so even though I feel terrible I'm going to try to do some work on it.

Haden is awesome! He has been working really hard with the reval, and he has been looking after me for the last week and a bit.

I'm looking forward to not feeling miserable and sick anymore.

so my last post was apparently 14 weeks ago. In that time I have been working full time while taking two papers in post-graduate environmental science.

so my life has been pretty full on - work, study, work, study - indulge in some fun when I should be studying!!! - work, study, work, study.... etc

Thank god it's all over now for this year! Haden has been excellent these last few months. He's totally supportive, and he's been doing a lot (most) of the cleaning etc, while I've been studying and stressing and being generally antisocial! so yea, my boyfriend is fantastic! THANK YOU BOYFRIEND!!!

Yay. I'm slowly starting to relax and enjoy life again. Summer is going to be great! Christmas is comming. It's my Birthday this weekend etc... so hopefully things are looking up.

I will be studying more next year, but hopefully I will be able to manage things a bit better so that I don't destroy my social life, and any other diversity I have.

That's all for now! Still waiting for Uni results to make sure I passed. So far with assignments I have one A+ and two B+'s ... WOOT!

My first day of uni is this friday, and I'm doing environmental Science with a conservation theme. My work is sponsoring me, so I need to choose a topic that is relevant to research required by work. currently there might be a social research weeds thing... mmm I'm obviously still trying to get my head around what I'm supposed to be doing... noodles!
Wish me luck!

Man the weather has been amazing lately! I was walking down the street from work and I had to stop... because the wind was too strong.. I crouched against a wall and tried to edge my way forward. Then the wind stopped and the people across the street looked at me funny. oh well, these things happen sometimes!

Saturday night was super fun! Went over to <kinkykarly> K's place to get ready and BF<cavaliermalfet> got all dressed up in one of my short skirts. We then added tights and a garter belt and he looked fabulous. Well .. I had fun anyway, but I admitt I may be biased in my ability to judje appeal objectively. ANyway! Time was great! I was just waiting for the Goths and the Industrials to have a Pose-off! lol

After tiring of looking so good in my laceup black "fuck me" boots, I hobbled back to the car, hoping I hadn't given myself arthritis from wearing out the bone in my feet by standing on tip toe for several hours, and drove people home. Lol maybe pain makes things more glamourous?

In other news, work is good, life is good. I'm going to start studing 2 post grad papers while working, and work is paying for it. i've decided to ignore my panic and just go for it. I figure, if I fail miserably, then let it happen. I don't want to avoid doing stuff that is beneficial for my personal development and my career because "I think i might not make it, it might be all too much and I might break". so there.

don't get me wrong, I'm only certain of a few things, there is much in the world which I do avoid. like drugs, and exercise. lol.
I love Autumn. Everything feels different. The air smells great. And the sunlight is gorgeous. And I keep feeling like I'm living in a memory, so to speak, as if my life at the moment feels as idyllic and sunswept as a happy childhood memory. I love it, it's great! I totally love Autumn.

For Easter Haden and I made a new garden with Native plants along side our driveway. That was really fun!

We ate heaps of chocolate on easter monday, and have since been having less sugar that usual to try to balance things out again!

on tuesday we went to Pans Labyrinth with Heather and Simeon. I loved the movie, but cried so so hard, it was very real, very cruel, and one of the messages that came accross was that it was better to be dead, than to be alive in such a horrible situation. But definitly worth seeing. Creepy, moving etc... Don't know if I want to see it again though... lol

On Friday night I'm going to La Porchetta on hobson st with all the friendly peoples who care to join me, to celebrate me getting my new job at the ARC. It will be good, I love the food!

I spent most of the last weekend in bed, I had a bad cold and needed to sleep. I also took this afternoon off work, because I don't feel up to it. Hopefully I'll be right as rain by tomorrow.

I love baking as well. Baking in winter and in Autumn is so wonderful!!! For all my joy, it is time I went to bed again... I hurt... but not too bad! :) Sleeeeeeeep....

It's nice to know people who are alive on the other side of the world. And to try imagine what their lives are like.

I bought some new perfume the other day. Actually it's the first perfume I have ever bought for myself, and I have been wanting to buy some nice perfume for a long time. So I finally bought some to celebrate that I got the administration job at the Auckland Regional Council. YAY! So my official title is "Biosecurity Project Administrator". I am very happy. I will be learning lots of new things, and I will be making money!!!!! Fantastic! So I bought perfume, and I've been wearing it all week. It smells like fresh roses and a little citrus. YUM!

Yesterday Haden and I did the "round the bays fun run". We jogged for more than two thirds of it - I was impressed with myself, because I hadn't trained and I didn't know how long I'd be able to keep jogging for. Then we had BBQ at the Auckland City Council tent, and then we saw Drew, and then we walked to Mission bay and saw Heather. Then we were going to wait for a bus, but it took too long, so we walked most of the way back, and got on a bus just before the road that goes up to Parnell. That evening I was silly, in that special kind of way that can only be achieved by extreme tiredness, when my mind was thinking of extremely funny things that wouldn't usually seem so funny, were I not so worn out. It was enjoyable.

We also had a spa and dinner etc... but I fell asleep at about 9pm or so. YAY Sleep. I'm a big fan of sleep, I think it's great!

I was thinking of going for a walk or a jog today, to keep my fitness up, but my foot has been hurting and I'm afraid I may have pulled something in it, so I don't know if I'll go out tonight.

I'm looking forward to visiting Hadens parents tomorrow night. And to dancing on thursday.

XOXOXOXXOXOXOXXOXOXOXXOXOX AHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

And we made custard and apple and berry crumble and lasagne on the weekend, and it was great! (And salad too :)

Hi everyone!

I had a good day today. I woke up at about 6.45am and fell asleep again till 6.50, and then till 7am, when I got up, grabbed some fruits and ran to only just catch the bus!
Yes I was tired ... I had disturbing dreams too, probably because of "Heroes" and the guy who pulls out peoples brains... but I want to know what happens, so I'll probably keep watching it even though it's S.C.A.R.E.Y! Lol.

Work was fine, did some invoices and bits and peices in the morning, then went shopping because a bunch of our biosecurity officers are going over to Kaikoura Island to do weed mapping. FUN!!! But I don't get to go...oh well, it's desk and paper work and computer for me "sigh". Actually office work can be fun in a "I like to be organised and get things done" kind of a way. There are lots of "positve reinforcers" when you have lots of little things to do, everytime I get one done I get to feel a small amount of satisfaction. Ah so sweet!

Hmmm... I had a busy weekend. Went to Mat and Darya's on Friday night. It was fun sitting and talking to people, telling bad jokes and listening to equally bad jokes lol. And I got hugs at the end of the night, which was cool! YAY!!! HUGS!!!!

Then Haden and I went for a walk to Titrangi beach and to a Cafe in the afternoon. Then we went back to Hadens and watched a Heroes episode and got ready for Weird AL.
The Weird AL concert was really fun, and I had never been to the Saint James, so I thought it was really cool and pretty!!! then we had some drinks afterwards at Brooklyn. Then sunday we had pancakes! YUM! and Haden went to cards and I went home to do stuff, got washing done, watched some Naruto etc...oooh and I had a spa! it was nice! but very hot, I could only stay in 10 minutes.

Then we went to Rebecca and Taz's Birthday/Houswarming BBQ. That was also fun, and they have a nice house with lots of green things growing in the garden which is good!

Hmmm My brother Erik got a job, which I'm really glad about, because he had been on the doll since he finished uni last year, and he was a bit down about not finding a job yet, SO YAY for my brother!!!

I'm still waiting, hoping that I get my Admin job at Biosecurity...wish me luck!!!

oooh, it's almost time for Heroes. Well, the rest of my family are all good. My sisters have started Violin, Swimming and Dance Lessons all at once lol! We'll see how they go with them!

I like this picture of Haden and I when we were camping!

K thanks bye

I was just looking at Anika's photo's on her blog space. WOW! They were all really beautiful pictures. I saw a few friendly faces in them which I haven't seen in AGES!!! Like Emma - back from Sweden for Christmas. Jemma - living the high life in Sydney. Bella - that mystery girl ... where is she now? And Jessica - who I actually bumped into in town the other day, but prior to that, long time no see! And the wellingtonians Adam and Sophie! And also other friends who are in Auckland, but who I haven't seen since Uni!!! Wish I could have been there and got to talk to you all. For those who don't know, these are all people who I grew up with, and it's great to see all those smiling faces again!

I have some good news! I have a job interview for a Park Ranger job at Ambury Regional Park, which is a farm park near mangere bridge. I went there today to have a looksie, and it looked pretty nice! So I'm hopeful about that one, it would be great to have a permanent full time job, doing something I really enjoy - caring for the environment.

I was out at Waiheke on Friday with my work, we had a work meeting and we were also doing some weed control at Whakanewha regional park, for the park opening on Sunday (Today). At the meeting the boss told me that I was welcome to apply for the biosecurity project administrator job - used to be the secretary, but the job description has expanded somewhat. I've been doing some of the secretary's work, since she finished on wednesday, so I will be applying for that one too, but first I will have to reshape my CV from making it sound like I would be a good park ranger, to making it sound like I would be a good administrator! LOL! Wish me luck!

Also it is my little brother Alex's Birthday today, he is now 15. He is about 6ft4" already, so I don't know how much taller he will grow ... My older Brother is 6ft4", and I'm 6ft, so it's not unusual for our family, but still, pretty tall for a 15 year old!

Went to Lumpy's farewell drinks last night. It was really fun, and it is a shame to see Lumpy go, he will be missed! But he will be having lots of fun in Wellington, so I guess that makes it ok!!!

Well, that's about it.

YAY I hope it works ... my fear is that it wont and then I'll have to have the tooth pulled ... but then I might still be sick and then they will realise that I have other things wrong with me and I will be sick forever... hopefully that wont happen. Hopefully everything will be ok and I will get better :)

I have been a bit sad though from time to time. Sleeping lots, feeling sick, not much energy ... and I haven't participated in a WuShu class in at least 3 weeks!!!

I am looking forward to doing Wushu again. To going swimming and tramping and running and feeling good! I am looking forward to going camping sometime soon with my BOYFRIEND!!! And seeing friends, going to movies, etc etc ... the good life as usual.

January has been full of lots of wonderful exciting stuff as well as all my sickness.
The GOOD stuff ...

on new years day BF and I's parents met for the first time - that was kinda exciting and they seemed to like eachother, so that was good :) My friend Kylie came to visit me for a few days. I spent lots of time with BF. We went to the Goth Initiation II and I got to wear my black dress which I had never worn before, and I got my hair and makeup done and wore jewellery and I felt gorgeous I looked pretty good too. It was nice. BF also looked good :)

We watched lots of Firefly ... almost all now. we went out for dinner a few times. We went to friends places, and ate yummy foods. We had friends over and spent time with friends. BF got to borrow his parents car for two weeks, so he did the driving for a while, which was nice. We went to Mission bay a few times.

So lots of fun. Work is a bit of a drag at the moment ... I really want to get the projects we are working on finished, and then move on to something else ... searching the web for info on cat laws and cockatoos is getting a bit old now.

hmmm that's all, K thanks bye!
